HYPOCHLORITE (as sodium salt) is a main active component of DAKIN'S® antimicrobial solution, which is used to prevent and treat infections of the skin and tissue, and also pre- and post-surgery cuts, abrasions, and skin ulcers.

DIDECYLDIMONIUM (as a salt, didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC)) is used in many types of biocidal products including tableware, carpets, humidifiers, and swimming pools. It shows a broad spectrum of activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and is also effective on fungi and viruses, including those that are enveloped.

Benzoxonium is a quaternary ammonium compound with antibacterial, antiviral, and antimycotic activity. It can be used in topical disinfection, disinfection of surgical instruments, inhibition of plaque formation, and in veterinary products.

Decamethoxin is a broad-spectrum antiseptic with a pronounced antibacterial and fungicidal action. Decamethoxin is a surfactant; it causes disintegration of the cell wall of microorganisms. The drug is marketed in Ukraine and Russia for the treatment of purulent bacterial and fungal skin diseases, microbial eczema, purulent-inflammatory lesions of soft tissues, dental diseases, inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract and other conditions.

Mefenidramium is an active ingredient of the Danish drug Paradryl that was used to treat pruritus with varicella and as a palliative treatment of estival rhinitis in children.

Dodeclonium bromide, an antiseptic, is an active ingredient of multi-ingredient cream, Phlebocreme. This cream is used for symptomatic treatment of painful and pruritic manifestations, particularly in the anal hemorrhoidal crisis.

Gentamicin is an antibiotic of the aminoglycoside group, is derived by the growth of Micromonospora purpurea, an actinomycete. Gentamicin is a complex of three different closely related aminoglycoside sulfates, Gentamicins C1, C2, and C1a. Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, but may cause ear and kidney damage. Gentamicin binds to the prokaryotic ribosome, inhibiting protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria. It is bactericidal in vitro against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Adverse reactions include adverse renal effects, neurotoxicity (dizziness, vertigo, tinnitus, roaring in the ears, hearing loss, peripheral neuropathy or encephalopathy), respiratory depression, lethargy, confusion, depression, visual disturbances, etc.

Tetraglycine hydroperiodide is an iodine-containing chemical, used for water purification. Tetraglycine hydroperiodide is marketed in tablets; each tablet effectively disinfects 1 liter of clear water or 0.5 liter of tainted water by releasing approximately 8 mg free iodine. It requires approximately 30 minutes to inactivate target microorganisms and make water bacteriologically suitable for drinking. To remove iodine taste, a vitamin C pill is added to the kit.

Magnesium diamide is used as a chemical intermediate. Magnesium diamide is spontaneously combustible. It is toxic by inhalation. Skin or eye contact may cause severe burns.
