Conditions:

Aspaminol (1,1 diphenyl-3-piperidinobutanol hydrochloride) is a nonspecific smooth muscle relaxant. It inhibits calcium uptake. The relaxation of smooth muscle induced by aspaminol may be due to a combining of aspaminol with calcium ions at the binding sites on the surface of smooth muscle, thus decreasing the supply of calcium ions to the contractile element.

N-Ethyl-3-piperidyl benzilate (JB-318) is an anticholinergic drug. It is a potent hallucinogenic agent. JB-318 is a psychotomimetic, it has an antitremor action in patients with Parkinson disease.
Status:
First approved in 1957

Isopropamide is a quaternary ammonium antimuscarinic with peripheral effects similar to those of atropine. It has been used as an adjunct in the treatment of peptic ulcer disease, in the relief of gastro-intestinal and urinary tract disorders associated with smooth muscle spasm, in rhinitis, and the relief of symptoms of cold.

Conditions:

DIBUTOLINE, an antispasmodic drug, produces paresis of smooth muscles innervated by the parasympathetic nervous system. Its effect on the smooth muscles, therefore, simulates that of paralysis of the oculomotor nerve, that is, paresis of the sphincter of the iris and the ciliary muscles. DIBUTOLINE has no effect on the ocular muscles innervated by the sympathetic nervous system.
Adiphenine is a ternary amino ligand. It is used as a local anesthetic that reduces the frequency of acetylcholine-induced single-channel currents. It was originally introduced as a spasmolytic agent. Adiphenine reduced the muscle tone of the gastrointestinal tract, bile duct and gallbladder, bronchi, bladder. It affects the tone of the muscles of the eye, causing the pupil dilated (mydriasis), increased intraocular pressure, and paralysis of accommodation. Influences on the cardiovascular system, causing tachycardia and improving AV-conduction. Adiphenine side effects are: nausea, vomiting, heartburn, dizziness, headache. Adiphenine has not been widely used clinically.

Camylofin is an antimuscarinic. This medication is used as antispasmodic in biliary colic, renal and ureteric colic, dysmenorrhoea, peptic ulcer and chronic enterocolitis. It is used to treat stomach ache in infants and children. Camylofin should be the first choice and may be preferred over other drugs for cervical dilatation and acceleration of active phase of labor.
Bevonium is a parasympatolytic antimuscarinic compound. It possesses spasmolytic properties. The use of the drug is discontinued.
