Potassium citrate is indicated for the management of renal tubular acidosis with calcium stones, hypocitraturic calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis of any etiology, uric acid lithiasis with or without calcium stones. WhenPotassium citrate is given orally, the metabolism of absorbed citrate produces an alkaline load. The induced alkaline load in turn increases urinary pH and raises urinary citrate by augmenting citrate clearance without measurably altering ultrafilterable serum citrate. Thus, potassium citrate therapy appears to increase urinary citrate principally by modifying the renal handling of citrate, rather than by increasing the filtered load of citrate. Potassium citrate is used as a food additive (E 332) to regulate acidity.
Menthyl lactate is derived from menthol, a compound that comes from peppermint oil, or is made synthetically. Menthol has a natural cooling effect, which makes it useful as a topical analgesic to treat skin irritation, pain, itching or sunburn. Despite its cooling benefits, menthol can be a skin irritant. Like menthol, menthyl lactate is cooling, but it causes less skin irritation than menthol. Menthyl lactate also has a refreshing, minty taste. For this reason, some manufacturers use it as a flavoring ingredient. The compound is recommended for use as a flavor in concentrations of 0.005% to 0.2% and in cosmetic and other external products in concentrations ranging from 0.2% to 2.0%. Menthyl lactate is a known compound available e.g. from Haarmann & Reimer GmbH (Germany) under the name FRESCOLAT, Type ML.

Bacitracin is a polypeptide antibiotic produced by Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus licheniformis. Bacitracin in combination with neomycin and polymyxin B is indicated for the treatment of many bacterial diseases. The antibacterial properties of bacitracin are mediated by its binding to C55-isoprenyl pyrophosphate, resulting in inhibition of cell wall biosynthesis.

Tetraglycine hydroperiodide is an iodine-containing chemical, used for water purification. Tetraglycine hydroperiodide is marketed in tablets; each tablet effectively disinfects 1 liter of clear water or 0.5 liter of tainted water by releasing approximately 8 mg free iodine. It requires approximately 30 minutes to inactivate target microorganisms and make water bacteriologically suitable for drinking. To remove iodine taste, a vitamin C pill is added to the kit.

Broparestrol, (Z)- is an isomer of Broparestrol -- synthetic, nonsteroidal selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) of the triphenylethylene group that has been used in Europe as a dermatological agent and for the treatment of breast cancer. Broparestrol, (Z)- and Broparestrol, (E)- demonstrates antiestrogenic activity but, unlike broparestrol, were never marketed.

Quindonium is azaestrone derivative patented by Shionogi & Co., Ltd. As an anti-inflammatory agent. Quindonium acts as a bradycardic agent which disrupts regular sinus rhythm in barbiturate-anesthetized dogs. Sinus bradycardias were interrupted by periods of sinus acceleration during which the disturbances in the lead II electrocardiogram were either minor or absent. The rate and rhythm changes were resistant to vagotomy or atropine, propranolol, and pentolinium. Propranolol enhanced the responses and precipitated arrhythmias in resistant animals; carotid sinus denervation had the opposite effect. Prophylactic administration of Quindonium (10 mg/kg) 15 minutes before hemorrhage produced a significant increase in the survival rate of dogs exposed to hemorrhage stress

Hydroxytamoxifen (Afimoxifene) is an active metabolite of tamoxifen exerting estrogen receptor modulatory function. In addition, hydroxytamoxifen binds to regulates transcriptional activity of the estrogen-related receptor gamma. ASCEND Therapeutics, Inc. was developing TamoGel (4-hydroxytamoxifen gel) for a variety of estrogen-dependent conditions, including breast cancer, cyclic breast pain and gynecomastia.

Gold monoiodide (AuI; Aurum iodatum) is a chemical compound of gold and iodine. This compound can be synthesized by heating gold and iodine in a sealed tube at 120°C for about four months. It decomposes when treated with hot water, but its related complexes are much more stable. It’s used like unapproved homeopathic product for treatment of Senile Paresis. This product is to be used for self-limiting conditions. If symptoms do not improve in 4 days, or worsen, discontinue use and seek assistance of health professional

Mivacurium chloride (Mivacron) is a new benzylisoquinolinium choline-like diester neuromuscular blocking drug with an onset of action at equipotent doses that is comparable to atracurium and vecuronium but slower than succinylcholine. MIVACRON (a mixture of three stereoisomers) binds competitively to cholinergic receptors on the motor end-plate to antagonize the action of acetylcholine, resulting in a block of neuromuscular transmission. This action is antagonized by acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, such as neostigmine. MIVACRON is a short-acting neuromuscular blocking agent indicated for inpatients and outpatients, as an adjunct to general anesthesia, to facilitate tracheal intubation and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation.
