Cephradine is a semisynthetic cephalosporin antibiotic. Cephradine is active against the following organisms in vitro: Group A beta-hemolytic streptococci; Staphylococci, including coagulase-positive, coagulase-negative, and penicillinase-producing strains; Streptococcus pneumoniae (formerly Diplococcus pneumoniae); Escherichia coli; Proteus mirabilis; Klebsiella species; Hemophilus influenza. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections (e.g., skin, ear, respiratory and urinary tract infections). Pseudomembranous colitis has been reported in patients receiving cephradine both orally and intravenously. Diarrhea generally starts 1 to 16 days after starting cephradine therapy. Gastrointestinal side effects have included nausea, vomiting. Hypersensitivity reactions have included rash, urticaria, pruritus, and joint pain. Bacteriostats may interfere with the bactericidal action of cephalosporins in acute infection; other agents, e.g., aminoglycosides, colistin, polymyxins, vancomycin, may increase the possibility of nephrotoxicity.

Metrizoic acid is a diagnostic radiopaque that usually occurs as the sodium salt. The mechanism of action of metrizoic acid is as a X-Ray Contrast Activity.
Enflurane (2-chloro-1,1,2,-trifluoroethyl-difluoromethyl ether) is a halogenated ether structural isomer of isoflurane. Developed by Ross Terrell in 1963, it was first used clinically in 1966. It was increasingly used for inhalational anesthesia during the 1970s and 1980s but is no longer in common use. Clinically, enflurane produces a dose-related depression of myocardial contractility with an associated decrease in myocardial oxygen consumption. Between 2% and 5% of the inhaled dose is oxidized in the liver, producing fluoride ions and difluoromethoxy-difluoroacetic acid. This is significantly higher than the metabolism of its structural isomer isoflurane. The exact mechanism of the action of general anesthetics has not been delineated. Enflurane acts as a positive allosteric modulator of the GABAA, glycine, and 5-HT3 receptors, and as a negative allosteric modulator of the AMPA, kainate, and NMDA receptors, as well as of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors.

Mesoridazine (brand name Serentil) is a phenothiazine antipsychotic. It was marketed in the U.S. for the treatment of schizophrenia, behavioral problems in mental deficiency and chronic brain syndrome, alcoholism and psychoneurotic symptoms, such as anxiety and tension. Due to the risk of serious cardiac events the indicated use of Serentil was limited to severely ill schizophrenic patients who fail other therapies. Based upon animal studies, mesoridazine acts indirectly on reticular formation, whereby neuronal activity into reticular formation is reduced without affecting its intrinsic ability to activate the cerebral cortex. Mesoridazine shows a moderate adrenergic blocking activity in vitro and in vivo and antagonizes 5-hydroxytryptamine in vivo.
Carfecillin is a phenyl ester of the side-chain carboxyl group of carbenicillin, beta-lactam antibiotic, acting as a prodrug. Upon oral administration, is broken down in the intestinal mucosa to the active antibacterial. It is used for urinary tract infections.
Medrysone is a synthetic glucocorticoid used to to treat inflammatory eye diseases such as allergic conjunctivitis, vernal conjunctivitis, and episcleritis.

IODOHIPPURIC ACID I-131 (ortho-Iodohippuric Acid I-131, [I-123]-OIH) is an iodine-containing compound used in pyelography as a radiopaque medium. Iodine-123 labelled ortho-Iodohippuric acid was used in the early 1970's as a kidney imaging agent or tracer that "lights-up" inside your body when scanned, but over the years its use has declined. [I-123]-OIH is primarily extracted by the renal tubules and has excellent pharmacokinetic properties, with a clearance only slightly less than that of p-aminohippuran, but its use has been compromised by the suboptimal imaging characteristics of the 364-keV photon of 131I and the delivery of relatively high radiation doses to kidneys and thyroid in patients with impaired renal function
