PHENYLACETYLGLYCINE DIMETHYLAMIDE is a analgesic and antipyretic. Known as Ralgin in Japan. Has being shown to have neurological activity.
Resocortol butyrate is a corticosteroid which has a high intrinsic glucocorticoid activity. Its mineralocorticoid and progestational activity is very low. Resocortol butyrate has local and systemic glucocorticoid effects. The expression of these effects depends on the mode of application and the dosage applied. After topical application on the skin, a local anti-inflammatory effect is seen, which is accompanied by a moderate and reversible adrenal suppression at higher doses. After oral administration in dogs few systemic effects were observed. Resocortol butyrate was marketed under the brand name Pruban as the topical cream for the treatment of acute localised moist dermatitis in dogs. It was discontinued.

Peplomycin has been developed as novel analog of bleomycin, which has less pulmonary toxicity than bleomycin. Peplomycin has been the subject of extensive studies in Japan and Europe. It is indicated for the treatment of malignant lymphoma, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer and skin cancer. General side effects are: digestive symptoms such as stomatitis, anorexia, nausea/vomiting, general malaise, depilation, fever, chills etc.

Ubenimex is a dipeptide, which specificallyinhibits the activity of leukotriene A4 hydrolase, aminopeptidase B and leucine aminopeptidase of the cell membrane. The drug was isolated from Streptomyces oliooreticuli in 1976 in Nippon Kayaku, Japan and approved for the treatment of acute non-lymphocytic leukemia under the name Bestatin. In the USA the drug is currentlu in Phase II for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension and lymphedema.

Oxolamine under brand names Symphocal, Perebron is used in some countries as a cough suppressant for the treatment of pharyngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pertussis. Oxolamine possesses anti-inflammatory activity, which causes a reduction in the irritation of the nervous receptors of the respiratory tract.

Sennoside B is a member of the class of sennosides that used as the laxative. Sennosides are used all over the world as a treatment for constipation. Sennosides are hydroxyanthracene glycosides derived from Senna leaves. The phytoconstituents principally responsible for its characteristic action are two anthraquinone glycosides namely; Sennoside A and Sennoside B. Sennoside A and B together are responsible for up to 40 – 60% activity of crude senna. They have identical molecular weights and formulae and are in fact diastereomers with the same substituent (H) located in opposite directions. Sennoside B has reported that it has inhibitory effects on PDGF receptor signaling and cell proliferation induced by PDGF-BB in human osteosarcoma cells.
