Iodoantipyrine I-131 is a radiopharmaceutical nonsteroid anti-inflammatory compound evaluated for coronary blood flow measure and as a total body water marker. In vivo results suggested that soon after injection of 4-I131 AP (Iodoantipyrine I-131) in rats , significant and increasing quantities of the I131 tracer were detached from the antipyrine molecule in a form which is more diffusible than 4-I131 AP. Evidence for a similar phenomenon was seen in other species. There were qualitative differences in the behavior of antipyrine and 4-I131 AP when injected in animals, and these may invalidate the use of 4-I131 AP as a substitute for antipyrine in studies of body composition.

FILIPIN is a complex of polyene macrolides obtained from Streptomyces filipinensis. The complex consists of four components: filipin I (4%), II (25%), III (53%), and IV (18%). Filipin III alters membrane function by interfering with membrane sterols, inhibits mitochondrial respiration, and is proposed as an antifungal agent. It is widely used as a marker for detection and quantification of cholesterol in cellular membranes.

Ethynerone (MK 665) is an oral contraceptive steroid. In preclinical studies, it induced mammary tumors.

Ciprocinonide (RS-2386) is a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid. It was developed in the 1980s for a topical administration as a component of the Triple Corticoid Integrated System.

Procinonide is a derivative of fluocinolone acetonide that has been applied topically with fluocinonide and ciprocinonide in the management of various skin disorders.

Tiomergine is an ergot alkaloid derivative. It is the agonist of the postulated presynaptic dopamine receptor. Tiomergine is the antiparkinsonian agent. Tiomergine modified brain glucose metabolism in a way similar to the neuroleptics but different from postsynaptic agonists. It was ineffective in the treatment of tardive dyskinesia.

Ripazepam (CI 683 or pyrazapon) is a pyrazolodiazepine that has anxiolytic effects. It is related to certain benzodiazepines such as zolazepam. In animal studies, it showed anxiolytic effects without sedative or depressant effects. In rats, it did not elicit a tumorigenic potential. Although ripazepam was found significantly superior to placebo and was well tolerated in neurotic patients, it has never been marketed for clinical use.
