Trizoxime is an antidepressant.

Trimexiline is an antihistamine, venotonic agent.

Tropodifene (Tropaphen) is an α-Adrenergic receptor blocking agent. Clinical trials have shown that tropaphen has a beneficial effect on hypertension. Tropaphen has a very marked adrenolytic and vasodilator action. It greatly lowers the tone of the peripheral vessels. The preparation is effective starting with a dose of 0.1 mg/kg. After injection of the drug in a dose of 0.25 mg/kg, a considerable and gradually progressive decrease in the perfusion pressure takes place. The pressure falls by 30-35% and remained at a low level for 90-100 min. With a dose of tropaphen of 0.5 mg/kg, the perfusion pressure falls by 40-45% and remains low for 120 min or more. Strong vasodilatation is also observed after injection of tropaphen into intact rabbits.

LAMIFIBAN is a potent and selective nonpeptide glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antagonist. It inhibits platelet aggregation and thrombus formation by preventing the binding of fibrinogen to platelets. It was in clinical development as an injectable antithrombotic agent for treating and preventing acute coronary syndromes but showed no significant effects on clinical outcomes.

Midafotel (CPPene; SDZ EAA 494) is a selective competitive antagonist at the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) subtype of glutamate receptor. It was originally designed as a potential therapy for excitotoxicity, epilepsy or neuropathic pain. Midafotel had been in phase III clinical trials by Novartis for the treatment of brain injury. However, this research has been discontinued.

Prinaberel is a selective agonist of estrogen receptor beta. Although initially developed for the treatment of endometriosis, the drug was also shown to be effective in vitro in other inflammatory diseases. Phase II clinical studied revealed its effectiveness in case of Crohn's disease and endometriosis, but the drug failed to demonstrate antiinflammatory efficacy in RA patients.

Pentacynium bis-methylsulphate (presidal) is a salt of pentacynium, which was studied as a ganglion-blocking agent to treat hypertension. Glaxo Wellcome developed this drug; however, information about the further use of pentacynium is not available.

Famprofazone, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent, is found in a multi-ingredient medication (Gewodin) used for pain relief. It is available over-the-counter in Taiwan. Famprofazone transforms to methamphetamine (MA) and amphetamine (AM) following administration, which is responsible for the side effects of the drug. For example, famprofazone user might be interpreted as an illicit MA abuser in Taiwan because the user's urine tested positive for MA.
