Dichloroxylenol is a bactericide, preservative and deodorant. It is often used in the preparation of antiseptic and deodorant lotions and bath preparations. Dichloroxylenol also showed slightly greater activity against S. aureus Oxoid 701/1 Lot 610254 than against Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi, indicating a probable role for cell wall in the susceptibility of bacteria to dichloroxylenol. The efficacy of either povidone-iodine (Betadine) or dichloroxylenol (Septocid) intrauterine infusions on the treatment of endometritis and/or cervicitis in cows was examined. The recovery and conception rates obtained after Betadine treatment were better than those obtained after Septocid. Moreover, healthy cows and those inseminated before post-partum day 180, having no more than 4-7 previous services, responded well to either Betadine or Septocid treatment.

Niclofolan (bayer 9015, Bilevon) is a biphenyl anthelmintic compound. Niclofolan is used orally towards the treatment of Fasciola hepatica infection. Niclofolan therapy achieved elimination of eggs from the feces and normalization of eosinophil counts, liver enzymes and Fasciola titers, suggesting eradication of biliary flukes. Niclofolan has also been used in the treatment of Paragonimus westermani in dogs and cats and P. iloktsuenensis in rats. It was proved that administration of daily dose of 1.0 mg/kg body weight for 3 days or in 2 doses of 2.0 mg/kg body weight by alternate days were evidently effective for the infected dogs, cats and rats with the lung flukes, and toxic manifestations were not found.

Diprogulic acid (Dikegulac) is used as a precursor in vitamin C synthesis. It is plant growth regulator for hedges. Dikegulac is used to differentially kill terminal apices, and it analogously inhibits basic metabolic functions in dividing cells, but not stationary cells, in suspension culture. At the lowest concentrations, dikegulac partially suppresses division of the isolated tobacco protoplasts. Higher concentrations are required to produce visual cytoplasmic damage to the protoplasts, which probably first occurs at the level of the plasmalemma, as the vacuoles can be released intact. Later, tonoplast disruption occurs. It does not inhibit mature leaves.

Crufomate is an insecticide and antihelmintic drug which acts by inhibition of acetylcholinesterase. Crufomate was used on or in cattle, sheep, and goats to control internal cattle grubs and external horn flies and cattle lice. Crufomate is administered by injection, oral administration, and spraying. For the treatment of internal helminth parasites, crufomate is administered by the oral drench directly into the rumen.

Etofenprox is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide compound used in agricultural production. Etofenprox acts on the nervous system of insects by disrupting their neuron sodium channels. Etofenprox is a contact-kill adulticide used to control a wide variety of insects including weevils, beetles, aphids, moths, whiteflies, thrips, borers, fleas and mosquitoes. Etofenprox is well tolerated by mammals, including cats, and is environmentally friendly.
