Lofepramine is a tricyclic antidepressant that is structurally similar to imipramine and is extensively metabolised to desipramine. In the absence of other major pharmacological effects it appears that its antidepressant activity stems from the facilitation of noradrenergic neurotransmission by uptake inhibition, and possibly by the additional facilitation of serotoninergic neurotransmission. The overall therapeutic efficacy of lofepramine is comparable to that of imipramine, amitriptyline, clomipramine, maprotiline and mianserin in patients with depression of varying severity, and coexisting anxiety. Lofepramine is a strong inhibitor of norepinephrine reuptake (Ki=5.4 nM) and a moderate inhibitor of serotonin reuptake (Ki=70 nM). It is a weak-intermediate level antagonist of the muscarinic acetylcholine receptors.Lofepramine is licensed for the treatment of depression in the United Kingdom.

Penimepicycline is a salt of beta-lactam antibiotic penicillin V and tetracycline antibiotic pipacycline. Penimepicycline exerts a bactericidal action on the streptococci, and a bacteriostatic action on various gram-positive and gram-negative bacilli, as well as on the penicillin-resistant staphylococci. In the 1960s it was studied in Japan for the treatment of urological, respiratory, gynecological and other infections.

Alclofenac (Preservex) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent advocated for use in rheumatoid arthritis, degenerative joint disease and ankylosing spondylitis. Aceclofenac has little pharmacological activity itself; its main mode of action is through its metabolites which include diclofenac and 4’-hydroxy diclofenac. Skin rash is the most frequent side-effect, which in a small proportion of affected patients may be associated with systemic effects. A cutaneous reaction appears to be more likely in patients with a history of previous allergy to penicillin and other drugs. In June 2013 was told about the new contraindications and warnings for diclofenac. This was after a review by European regulators concluded that the risk of arterial thrombotic events (myocardial infarction; stroke) with diclofenac is greater than with other non-selective NSAIDs and similar to the COX-2 inhibitors.

Iodocholesterol I-131 is a radioiodine-labeled cholesterol analog used as a diagnostic agent for Cushing's syndrome, hyperaldosteronism, and pheochromocytoma. Iodocholesterol I-131 accumulates in tissues where steroid hormones are produced, including the adrenal glands the ovaries and the testes. After binding to low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptors on adrenocortical cells, Iodocholesterol I-131 is internalized. As cholesterol is the precursor for all adrenocortical steroid hormones, areas of hormonal hypersecretion can be visualized using scintigraphy and the adrenocortical function can be assessed.

Bamethan (butyl-sympatol or vasculat) is an adrenaline derivative developed by C. H. Boehringer Sohn. Bamethan shows a depressor action on peripheral blood vessels as a result of the peripheral vasodilating action caused by stimulation of adrenergic beta-receptor. Bamethan has been used abroad in the treatment of certain peripheral vascular and circulatory disturbances, such as vasospastic conditions, arteriosclerotic peripheral vascular disease, Raynaud's syndrome, occlusive vascular disease of the legs, the post-thrombotic syndrome, degenerative muscular disorders, and other conditions involving peripheral vascular insuffciency.

Iprazochrome is a serotonin antagonist both in vitro and in vivo. It is used in the prophylaxis of migraine and in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy.
Pentifylline is an active vasodilating substance which does not affect blood sugar levels. Pentifylline inhibits the soluble and the particulate cyclic AMP phosphodiesterases from bovine platelets and rat brain ATPase. The inhibition of ATPase by pentifylline was not influenced by the change in Na /K ratio. Pentifylline in combination with Nicotinic acid indicated for the treatment of Cerebral circulatory disorders and Circulatory disorders of the eye. Pentifylline is well tolerated but it is recommended that blood pressure be monitored and if there is a severe drop in blood pressure, a drip infusion of plasma expander be administered. Coagulation states should also be closely watched.

Carmofur, also known as 5-fluoro-N-hexyl-2,4-dioxo-pyrimidine-1-carboxamide and as 1-hexylcarbamoyl-5-fluorouracil, is a pyrimidine analogue which acts as an antineoplastic agent through inhibition of thymidylate synthase. It has been used in the treatment of breast and colorectal cancer. Carmofur is approved in Japan for the treatment of cancer.

Bamipine (trade name Soventol) is a sedating antihistamine with pronounced sedative effects. Bamipine is a pharmaceutical drug acting as an H1 antihistamine with anticholinergic properties. It is used as an antipruritic ointment. Bamipine hydrochloride has been given by mouth. Bamipine, bamipine lactate, and bamipine salicylate have all been applied topically.
