Dihydromorphine is a semi-synthetic opioid derived from morphine. dihydromorphine is a moderately strong analgesic and is used clinically in the treatment of pain and is also the active metabolite of dihydrocodeine. Dihydromorphine acts as an agonist at the μ-opioid (mu), δ-opioid (delta) and κ-opioid (kappa) receptors. Dihydromorphone is approved for clinical use in the United States, Europe, and Japan; and sold under the brand name Dilaudid. Similar to morphine, and other morphine derivatives, hydromorphone has a high potential for addiction and abuse and is listed as a Schedule II drug in the United States Controlled Substances Act of 1970 (and similarly regulated in other countries).

(s)-Thalidomide is an enantiomer of immunomodulatory agent Thalidomide. Thalidomide enantiomers are converted to each other in vivo, and Thalidomide contains both left and right-handed isomers in equal amounts. (s)-Thalidomide has proven efficacy in multiple myeloma. s-thalidomide-induced apoptosis associated with increases in I-kB activity, downregulation of NF-kB activity and an increase in Bax: Bcl-2 ratio. In cells cultured with s-thalidomide, there was a four-fold downregulation of the NFkB gene that was associated with a significant decrease in its protein activity.

Trelagliptin (as the salt Trelagliptin succinate) was approved for use in Japan in March 2015. Takeda, the company that developed Trelagliptin, chose to not get approval for the drug in the USA and EU.

Noopept (DVD-111) is a peptide promoted and prescribed in Russia and neighbouring countries as a nootropic. Noopept was patented by Russian-based pharmaceutical company JSC LEKKO Pharmaceuticals in the 1996. Research shows Noopept has similar effects, but works differently than other nootropics in the racetam-family. The compound is patented in both the US and Russia with patent of Russian Federation number 2119496, U.S. Patent 5,439,930 issued 8/8/1995. Noopept exhibits a combined neuroprotector effect both in vitro and in vivo. Noopept decreases the extent of necrotic damage caused by photoinduced thrombosis of cortical blood vessels. It was established that the neuroprotector effect of noopept is related to its action upon the well-known "triad", whereby the drug reduces neurotoxic effects of excess extracellular calcium, glutamate, and free radicals. Two additional components of the neuroprotector action of noopept are related to the antiinflammatory and antithrombotic activity.
Ethamsylate (2,5-dihydroxy-benzene-sulfonate diethylammonium salt) is a synthetic hemostatic drug indicated in cases of capillary bleeding. Ethamsylate acts on the first step of hemostasis by improving platelet adhesiveness and restoring capillary resistance. In addition it inhibits prostaglandin biosynthesis. Well-controlled clinical trials clearly showed the therapeutic efficacy of ethamsylate in dysfunctional uterine bleeding, with the magnitude of blood-loss reduction being directly proportional to the severity of the menorrhagia. Other well-controlled clinical trials showed therapeutic efficacy of ethamsylate in periventricular hemorrhage in very low birth weight babies and surgical or postsurgical capillary bleeding.

Avenanthramides are a group of phenolic alkaloids found mainly in oats, but also in butterfly eggs (Pieris brassicae and Pieris rapae), and fungal infected carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus). Avenanthramides demonstrate anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-itch, anti-irritant, and antiatherogenic activities. Avenanthramide is considered the active component in a number of skin care products based on colloidal oatmeal; a traditional treatment which was approved by the FDA in 2003. Dietary supplementation with foods enriched in Avenantramides has been studied for the potential to reduce systemic inflammation. Avenanthramides have also been studied in cell models for osteoporosis and cancer.
Vitexin, identified as apigenin-8-C-β-D-glucopyranoside, is a flavonoid compound found in Anthurium versicolor, Ficaria verna Huds. (Ranunculaceae), Cucumis sativus L. (Cucurbitaceae), and Acer palmatum (Aceraceae). Vitexin is an active component of many traditional Chinese medicines. Vitexin has recently received increased attention due to its wide range of pharmacological effects, including but not limited to anti-oxidant, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-hyperalgesic, and neuroprotective effects.

Indirubin is derived from the Indigo Plant (Isatis Root, Isatis Leaf). It is used as part of a traditional Chinese herbal prescription called Dang Gui Long Hui Wan, to treat chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). Indirubin inhibits DNA synthesis in several cell lines, in a cell-free assay and in vivo in rats with Walker-256 sarcoma. A weak binding of indirubin to DNA in vitro has been described. Indirubin inhibited all cyclin-dependent kinases (1,2,4,5) almost equally. Indirubin has been approved for clinical trials against chronic myelocytic and chronic granulocytic leukaemia. A few studies show that Indirubin is effective against psoriasis. Mild to severe nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache, and edema are reported adverse events of Indirubin. Long-term oral ingestion has also occasionally been associated with hepatitis, pulmonary arterial hypertension and cardiac insufficiency.

Flunitrazepam is an intermediate-acting benzodiazepine with general properties similar to those of diazepam. It is generally intended to be for short-term treatment for chronic or severe insomniacs who are unresponsive to other hypnotics. The main pharmacological effects of Flunitrazepam are the enhancement of GABA at the GABAA receptor. The physical effects of Flunitrazepam include sedation, muscle relaxation, decreased anxiety, and prevention of convulsions. It causes partial amnesia; individuals are unable to remember certain events that they experience while under the influence of the drug. Chronic use of Flunitrazepam can result in physical dependence and the appearance of a withdrawal syndrome when the drug is discontinued. Flunitrazepam impairs cognitive and psychomotor functions affecting reaction time and driving skill. The use of this drug in combination with alcohol is a particular concern as both central nervous system depressants potentiate each other's toxicity.

Luseogliflozin (TS-071), a derivative of a novel scaffold, C-phenyl 1-thio-D-glucitol, exhibited potent sodium-dependent glucose cotransporter (SGLT) 2 inhibition activity. Luseogliflozin exhibits a blood glucose lowering effect, excellent urinary glucose excretion properties, and promising pharmacokinetics profiles in animals. It showed good metabolic stability toward cryo-preserved human hepatic clearance, have acceptable human pharmacokinetics properties. Luseogliflozin [Lusefi(®) (Japan)] was developed by Taisho Pharmaceutical for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The drug has received its first global approval for this indication in Japan, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antihyperglycaemic agents.
