CHEMICAL (RACEMIC)

Tipetropium is atropine derivative. It is the adrenoceptor agonist. Tipetropium is bronchospasmolytic agent. It was used as anti-asthmatic drug.

CHEMICAL (ABSOLUTE)

LAMIFIBAN is a potent and selective nonpeptide glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antagonist. It inhibits platelet aggregation and thrombus formation by preventing the binding of fibrinogen to platelets. It was in clinical development as an injectable antithrombotic agent for treating and preventing acute coronary syndromes but showed no significant effects on clinical outcomes.

INN:ditercalinium chloride

Class (Stereo):
CHEMICAL (ACHIRAL)

Ditercalinium is the antineoplastic agent. Ditercalinium itself is not a natural product, however, it is derived from the natural product 5,11-dimethyl-6H-pyrido-[4,3- b]carbazole (ellipticine) that was isolated in 1959. It is a rare example of a noncovalent DNA-binding ligand that forms bisintercalation complexes via the major groove of the double helix. Ditercalinium selectively recognizes certain GC-rich sequences in DNA. It preferentialy binds with antiparallel quadruplex sequence d(AG(3)[T(2)AG(3)](3)). Ditercalinium chloride can deplete mitochondrial DNA in both mouse and human cells. Ditercalinium chloride inhibits human DNA polymerase gamma activity as efficiently as does ethidium bromide. Ethidium bromide distributes diffusely in the mitochondria of HeLa cells, while ditercalinium chloride distributes granularly and hence may be strongly associated with mitochondrial DNA.

NCT01295372: Phase 3 Interventional Completed Schizophrenia
(2011)

Class (Stereo):
CHEMICAL (ABSOLUTE)

Zicronapine (formerly known as Lu 31-130), an oral antipsychotic that was studied for the treatment of schizophrenia. The drug was used in a phase III clinical trial.
Quizapine is a piperazine-based nonselective serotonin (5-HT) receptor agonist with antidepressant and oxytocic activities. Quipazine targets and binds to serotonin receptors, particularly to the 5HT2A and 5HT3 receptors. Quipazine is a potential anti-parkinsonian agent. Serotonin receptor activation by quipazine may lead to smooth muscle contraction and antidepressant effects. quipazine, a central serotonergic agent, counteracted some of the drug-induced symptoms of pseudoparkinsonism in laboratory animals. Cholinergic, dopaminergic and histaminergic receptors play an important role in the manifestations of these symptoms.

INN:ipazilide [INN]

Class (Stereo):
CHEMICAL (ACHIRAL)

Ipazilide is an antiarrhythmic agent that prolongs ventricular refractoriness and possesses antiectopic activity. In clinical trials ipazilide administrations leads to dose- and time-dependent in decrease cardiac index and arterial pressure. Left ventricular filling pressure, right atrial pressure, and heart rate were not altered by ipazilide. Plasma concentrations of ipazilide peaked 90 minutes after administration of 100 or 200 of the drug, but peak concentrations were noted 3 hours after administration of 400 mg. The hemodynamic response correlated with the plasma concentration of ipazilide determined contemporaneously.

Class (Stereo):
CHEMICAL (ACHIRAL)

Ancriviroc (SCH 351125) is a small-molecule antagonist of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1(HIV-1) coreceptor CCR5. It has in vitro activity against R5 viruses with 50% inhibitory concentrations ranging from 1.0 to 30.9 nM. Ancriviroc is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of HIV-1 entry via CCR5 coreceptor interaction. Ancriviroc has potent activity against RANTES binding (K(i) = 2 nM), possesses subnanomolar activity in blocking viral entry and has excellent antiviral potency versus a panel of primary HIV-1 viral isolates. Ancriviroc had been in phase I clinical trials by Schering-Plough (subsidiary of Merck Sharp & Dohme) for the treatment of HIV infection. However, this research has been discontinued.

CHEMICAL (ABSOLUTE)

Ezlopitant (CJ-11974) is a non-peptide neurokinin-1 receptor antagonist. Pfizer was developing ezlopitant for the potential treatment of irritable bowel syndrome and chemotherapy-induced emesis. Development of ezlopitant has been discontinued.
