SR 202 is an antagonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) transcriptional activity induced by troglitazone but not of basal PPARγ activity. It is selective for PPARγ, not affecting basal or agonist-induced transcriptional activity of PPARα, PPARβ, or the farnesoid X receptor (FXR). It inhibits PPARγ-dependent differentiation of preadipocyte 3T3-L1 cells in a dose-dependent manner. SR 202 (400 mg/kg) decreases the amount of weight gained and white adipose tissue mass accumulated by mice fed a standard or high-fat diet for ten weeks and is associated with lower PPARγ mRNA levels. It protects against high-fat diet-induced insulin resistance in wild-type mice and improves insulin sensitivity in ob/ob mice.

N,N-Dimethyl-5-Methoxytryptamine (aka 5-MeO-DMT) is a psychedelic of the tryptamine class. It is found in a wide variety of plant species, and a single psychoactive toad species, the Colorado River toad. Like its close relatives DMT and bufotenin (5-HO-DMT), it has been used as an entheogen in South America. It can also be found in the dart poison traditionally used by the Yanoama Indians of Upper Orinoco. It acts as a non-selective serotonin (5-HT) agonist. -MeO-DMT is O-demethylated by polymorphic cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) to an active metabolite, bufotenine. 5-MeO-DMT is classified as a controlled substance in China, Australia, Sweden, Turkey, and the USA.

16,16-dimethyl Prostaglandin E2 acts as an agonist on most prostaglandin E (EP) receptor subtypes, it has prolonged half-life in vivo, because it is not a substrate for the enzyme 15-hydroxy prostaglandin dehydrogenase. This compound was studied by Fate Therapeutics in phase I clinical trials under the name FT1050 or ProHema-CB for pediatric patients with hematologic malignancies. However, this study was terminated.

Conditions:

Dimethadione (5,5-dimethyl-2,4-oxazolidinedione) is the N-demethylated metabolite of the anticonvulsant trimethadione. Dimethadione is considered to be a blocker of T-type calcium channel. Dimethadione also inhibits a specific potassium channel (Ikr) in HERG-transfected cells. It exerts teratogenic effect especially congenital heart defects. Dimethadione can be used for the measurement of regional tissue pH using positron emission tomography.

Dimetridazole is an anti-fungal and anti-protozoal drug traditionally used in veterinary for the prevention and treatment of histomoniasis in turkeys, genital trichomoniasis in cattle and hemorrhagic enteritis in pigs. Results from the in vitro and in vivo tests suggested, that dimetridazole was not genotoxic compound, but its use is legally limited, although this compound is still can be found in eggs.
