Cobaltous carbonate is used as a feed additive for ruminants, horses and rabbits (dietary cobalt is needed for vitamin B12 synthesis). Cobaltous carbonate has carcinogen, mutagen and reproduction toxicant properties. Cobaltous carbonate is a skin and eye irritant, and a dermal and respiratory sensitizer. Its dust is a hazard to persons handling the substance. Exposure by inhalation must be avoided.

Abscisic Acid ((2Z,4E)-5-[(1S)-1-hydroxy-2,6,6-trimethyl-4-oxocyclohex-2-en-1-yl]-3-methylpenta-2,4-dienoic acid) is a plant hormone and growth regulator that is involved in several physiological mechanisms including seed dormancy, leaf abscission, stomatal movement, and plant stress responses. Through complex interactions with several intracellular signaling systems, it can regulate the expression of hundreds of plant genes. Abscisic Acid has also been found to be present in metazoans, from sponges up to mammals including humans. Currently, its biosynthesis and biological role in animals is poorly known. Abscisic acid has recently been shown to elicit potent anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic effects in mouse models of diabetes/obesity, inflammatory bowel disease, atherosclerosis, and influenza infection. Many biological effects in animals have been studied using Abscisic Acid as a nutraceutical or pharmacognostic drug, but Abscisic Acid is also generated endogenously by some cells. There are also conflicting conclusions from different studies, where some claim that Abscisic acid is essential for pro-inflammatory responses whereas other show anti-inflammatory effects. Like with many natural substances with medical properties, Abscisic Acid has become popular also in naturopathy. While Abscisic Acid clearly has beneficial biological activities and many naturopathic remedies will contain high levels of Abscisic Acid (such as wheatgrass juice, fruits, and vegetables), some of the health claims made may be exaggerated or overly optimistic. In mammalian cells Abscisic Acid targets a protein known as lanthionine synthetase C-like 2 (LANCL2), triggering an alternative mechanism of activation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR gamma).

Acetylspiramycin for spiramycin acetylated derivatives, belonging to 16 membered ring macrolide. It is suitable for sensitive Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Streptococcus pneumoniae induced by mild to moderate infections, such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media, periodontitis, acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, non-gonococcal urethritis, skin and soft tissue infection, can be used for the selection of drugs for cryptosporidiosis, or as a treatment for pregnancy women of toxoplasmosis. The mechanism for Acetylspiramycin combined with sensitive microbial 50S ribosomal subunit, RNA dependent inhibition of protein synthesis and bacteriostasis.

Apramycin is a broad-spectrum aminocyclitol antibiotic produced by a strain of Streptomyces tenebrarius. It has a bactericidal action against many gram-negative bacteria. Apramycin is a structurally unique antibiotic that contains a bicyclic sugar moiety and a monosubstituted deoxystreptamine. It is not approved for use in humans. Apramycin is registered for use in more than twenty countries in cattle, pigs and chickens. The drug exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting
protein synthesis at the level of peptidyl translocation. It is mostly used for treating gastrointestinal
infections. Apramycin is available in soluble powder and feed premix formulations.

Lidofenin is ligand for a coordination complex consisting of the radioisotope technetium-99m. Technetium Lidofenin is a nontoxic radiopharmaceutical that is used in radionuclide imaging for the clinical evaluation of hepatobiliary disorders in humans.
Technetium lidofenin is indicated as a hepatobiliary imaging agent for the evaluation of hepatobiliary tract patency to differentiate jaundice resulting from hepatocellular causes from jaundice resulting from partial or complete biliary obstruction; to differentiate extrahepatic biliary atresia from neonatal hepatitis; to detect cystic duct obstruction associated with acute cholecystitis nd to detect bile leaks. Also, technetium Tc 99m lidofenin may be useful to detect intrahepatic cholestasis and to distinguish it from other hepatobiliary diseases, which involve hepatocyte damage. Following intravenous administration, technetium Tc 99m–labeled IDA derivatives, such as lidofenin, become bound to plasma proteins (mainly albumin). In the liver, in the space of Disse, technetium Tc 99m lidofenin becomes dissociated from the proteins and enters the hepatocyte by a mechanism similar to that of serum bilirubin. Technetium Tc 99m lidofenin traverses through the hepatocyte unmetabolized and enters the bile canaliculi. Flow beyond the canaliculi is influenced to a large extent by the tone of the sphincter of Oddi and the patency of the bile ducts. Clear visualization of the gallbladder and intestines, usually within 15 to 30 minutes of administration, demonstrates hepatobiliary tract patency.
