Beta-erythroidine is an organic heterotetracyclic indole alkaloid isolated from the seeds and other parts of Erythrina species. A drug used to produce muscle relaxation (excepting neuromuscular blocking agents). Its primary clinical and therapeutic use is the treatment of muscle spasm and immobility associated with strains, sprains, and injuries of the back and, to a lesser degree, injuries to the neck. Also used for the treatment of a variety of clinical conditions that have in common only the presence of skeletal muscle hyperactivity, for example, the muscle spasms that can occur in multiple sclerosis. Beta-erythroidine is a neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist. The beta-erythroidine and its more potent derivative (2,7-dihydro) have been used as muscular relaxants in numerous clinical applications. This activity is attributed to a antagonistic action of the dihydro-beta-erythroidine with the nicotinic receptors of acetyl choline.
CL-316243 is a selective and highly specific β3-adrenoceptor agonist. CL 316243 possesses anti-obesity and anti-diabetic effects due to increasing brown adipose tissue thermogenesis and metabolic rate, and consequently may be useful for treating obesity as well as non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus in obese persons, without causing excessive side effects.

Tixocortol is a synthetic steroid with topical anti-inflammatory properties. In form of Tixocortol pivalate, also known as Pivalone, it is used to treat the inflammatory and allergic manifestations of the rhino-pharynx: allergic rhinitis, acute and chronic congestive rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis. In addition, it has been shown to be a useful agent for assessing corticosteroid contact dermatitis, particularly for hydrocortisone-type derivatives. Labeled adverse effects are: itchy nose, dryness of the nasal mucosa, edema of the face mucosa, cataract, glaucoma, Cushing syndrome, skin thinning.
Leucine is an α-amino acid used in the biosynthesis of proteins. Leucine is an essential hydrophobic amino acid. It is used in the Leucine may be used some people as a supplement to build muscle. Epicriptine or beta-dihydroergocryptine is a dopamine agonist of the ergoline class. It constitutes one third of the mixture known as dihydroergocryptine, the other two thirds consisting of alpha-dihydroergocryptine. The alpha differs from the beta form only in the position of a single methyl group, which is a consequence of the biosynthesis in which the proteinogenic amino acid isoleucine is replaced by leucine. Mesylate salt of dihydro-β-ergocryptine is an active part of the drug: Ergoloid Mesylate, which is used for treatment of symptoms of an idiopathic decline in mental capacity (i.e., cognitive and interpersonal skills, mood, self-care, apparent motivation) can experience some symptomatic relief upon treatment with ergoloid mesylates preparations.
A-escin (Escin Ia) and isoescin Ia have been traditionally used clinically as the chief active ingredients of escin, a major triterpene saponin isolated from horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) seeds for the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency, hemorrhoids, inflammation and edema.
