There is no information related to the biological and pharmacological activity of COBALTOUS OCTANOATE. However, was revealed, that fluorine-containing and fluorine-free cobalt(II) octanoate catalyzed controlled styrene oligomerization according to the atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) mechanism

Conditions:

There is no information related to the pharmacological activity of COBALTOUS OXALATE (cobalt oxalate), but is existed a mention about biological activity, where were investigated the role of anions, such as sulfate, nitrate, oxalate and acetate on pharmacological properties of metal (including Co), these complexes have been screened against bacterial species, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and results have been reported. In addition is known that cobalt oxalate primarily used as catalysts.

Manganese butyrate is is a water soluble crystalline salt composed of manganese and butyrate with the formula C8H14MnO4. Manganese butyrate is especially valuable in boils, carbuncles, erysipelas, whitlows, lymphangitis and lymphadenitis. The drug is equally useful in acute gonococcal urethritis, abscess formation, epididymitis, and in gonococcal septicaemia, if prescribed in time. Manganese butyrate relieves in asthma as it changes the condensation of the protein particles, which causes the condition, into dispersion. In all septic conditions including tonsillitis, quinsy, and even rhinitis, manganese butyrate should be given a chance before an incision is made.

Precocene II is a cyclic propenylic plant metabolite and asarone analog. It shows antijuvenile hormone activity in insects and inhibits trichothecene production in fungi. Precocene II showed strong hepatotoxic, nephrotoxic and hepatocarcinogenic activity. Precocene II exhibited inhibitory activity on the P-388 cancer cell line and the HT-29 cancer cell line. It is a bioactive component of Ageratum houstonianum, responsible for circadian CLOCK-mediated up-regulation of AQP3 in human keratinocytes. It can be used as a potential adjunct to enhance the treatment of various skin diseases by providing adequate hydration in the epidermis.
