Conditions:
Indisetron dihydrochloride (N-3389) was approved by Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency of Japan (PMDA) on January 29, 2004. It was co-developed and co-marketed as Sinseron by Kyorin & Yakult Honsha in Japan. Indisetron is a dual serotonin 5-HT3 and 5-HT4 receptor antagonist. It is indicated for the treatment of prophylaxis of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, it’s administered once daily. Indisetron is metabolized in the liver, and CYP1A1, CYP2C9, CYP2D6, and CYP3A4 are involved in its metabolism. However, indisetron is unlikely to cause drug interactions at clinical doses because the effective plasma concentrations are lower than those necessary for inhibiting the metabolic enzymes. No drug interaction has been reported. Indisetron antagonizes 5-HT4 receptors, as well as 5-HT3 receptors, and this characteristic is expected to contribute to its clinical efficacy.

Propiram is an orally administered analgesic with partial morphine-like agonist and weak antagonist properties. Analgesic efficacy of propiram, usually 50 or 100mg, appears comparable to that of standard dosages of other oral opioid drugs [i.e. pentazocine, pethidine (meperidine)] in patients with acute pain of moderate to severe intensity arising from various gynaecological and surgical procedures, and may be superior to codeine in gynaecological and postoperative dental pain. Propiram is a non-addictive analgesic for the relief of moderate-to-severe pain. Propiram reached Phase III clinical trials in the United States and Canada, but was discontinued. Propiram is a partial opioid mu receptor agonist.

CHEMICAL (ACHIRAL)
Radium chloride salt of radioactive element radium. It was first isolated in the early 20th century by Marie Curie and André-Louis Debierne. The most stable isotope is radium-226, it has a half-life of 1600 years and occurs naturally as a product of radioactive decay of uranium. Chloride of radium-223 (half-life 11.4 days) is used in medicine as a radiotherapeutic drug. It was approved for the treatment of male patients with symptoms of advanced prostate cancer with bone metastases. Ra 223 mimics calcium and forms complexes with the bone mineral hydroxyapatite at areas of increased bone turnover. The radioactive alpha particles emitted by radium Ra 223 helps in killing cancer cells in the bone by damaging their DNA. Radium Ra 223 causes minimal damage to the nearby healthy cells.

CHEMICAL (MIXED)
Conditions:
Propicillin (Baycillin Mega) is this semisynthetic penicillin, analogous to penicillin V, was introduced in the early 1960s. Although it is better absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, overall it is inferior to phenoxymethylpenicillin and phenoxyethylpenicillin because of its lower antibacterial activity. Propicillin is used by propicillin-susceptible pathogens in adults and adolescents from 14 years to treat mild to moderate bacterial infections. These include skin infections, ear, nose and throat infections (such as otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis) and infections of the bronchi andlung inflammation. Moreover propicillin can for prevention and treatment of scarlet fever or against rheumatic fever are used (bacterial infection of the nose and throat). Even with tooth or jaw surgery the drug is used to treat an endocarditis endocarditis prevent. Its mechanism of action could be due to binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, thus propicillin may inhibit the third and last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis

Oxapium iodide (ciclonium or cyclonium, trade name Oxaperan, Esperan) is an antispasmodic indicated for the treatment of gastritis, gastroduodenal ulcer, enteritis, and other conditions. It is marketed in South Korea by Dongsung Pharmaceuticals and by Taisho Toyama Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in Japan. Oxapium is a muscarinic cholinergic receptor antagonist. It has two separate pharmacological effects: (1) a potent atropine-like action, (2) a papaverine-like action.

Nitroblue Tetrazolium (NBT) is a chromogenic substrate that, like other tetrazolium compounds, can be reduced to produce a colored formazan derivative. Conventionally, a semi-quantitative microscopic NBT assay is used to determine the production of superoxide anion (O2(-)) in various phagocytic cells. This microscopic assay is conducted by counting the cells containing blue NBT formazan deposits, which are formed by reduction of the membrane permeable, water-soluble, yellow-colored, nitroblue tetrazolium (Y-NBT) by O2(-). NBT test, the oldest and most recognized diagnostic test for chronic granulomatous disease (CGD), relies on light microscopy to provide a mostly qualitative determination of phagocyte NADPH oxidase activity: production of blue reduced NBT formazan in normal cells but not in those from patients with CGD. NBT can also be used as a chromogenic activity stain for oxidoreductases in gels or solutions. More commonly NBT is often paired with 5-bromo-4-chloro-3-inolyl phosphate (PCIB) for the colorimetric detection of alkaline phosphatase activity. Alkaline phosphate converts PCIB to a product that reduces NBT to its formazan derivative, resulting in a black-purple precipitate.
