Isoetharine is a beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist, which was developed by Max Bockmuhl, Gustav Erhart and Leonhard Stein at the Hochst laboratories of I.G. Farbenindustrie in 1934. By binding to beta-2 adrenergic receptors on bronchial cell membranes, isoetharine increases the level of cAMP and thus stimulates the relaxation of smooth-muscle cells, stabilizes mast cells and inhibits histamine release. Isoetharine was approved by FDA for the symptomatic relief of bronchiospasms in patients with chronic bronchitis or emphysema (aerosol and solution for inhalation), however, later on the drug was discontinued.

Dromostanolone Propionate (known by the brand names Masteron and Drolban) was invented by Syntex in 1959. About 10 years later it was released on the American market by Lilly as brand name Drolban. The drug was first approved in the USA for use as a treatment of female breast cancer. However, the profile of side-effects included pronouncement of male characteristics in women and when more effective breast cancer treatments came to market drostanolone was gradually phased out. No longer used clinically dromostanolone propionate became very popular in the bodybuilding community. Today dromostanolone propionate remains on the list of approved medications, but it is not being manufactured or sold by pharmaceutical companies. It is still produced illegally by underground labs for use in the bodybuilding community.

Oxethazaine is a potent local anesthetic. It is administered orally (usually in combination with an antacid) for the relief of pain associated with peptic ulcer disease or esophagitis. Its effectiveness at the acidity of the gastric environment is due to the fact that oxethazaine, a weak base, is relatively non-ionized at pH 1. It is also used topically in the management of hemorrhoid pain. Oral oxetacaine preparations are available in several countries, including India, South Africa and Brazil, but not the United States. It is marketed under the name Strocain in Japan.

Oxymetholone (17beta-hydroxy-2-[hydroxymethylene]-17-methyl-5alpha-androstan-3-one) is a 17alpha-alkylated anabolic-androgenic steroid and a synthetic derivative of testosterone. It has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of anemias caused by deficient red cell production. Acquired aplastic anemia, congenital aplastic anemia, myelofibrosis and the hypoplastic anemias due to the administration of myelotoxic drugs often respond. Drug interactions exist with cimetidine, paroxetine, and haloperidol, but are not expected with indinavir, ritonavir, clarithromycin, or itraconazole.

Methicillin sodium anhydrous is a sodium salt of methicillin (methicillin). Methicillin is an antibiotic formerly used in the treatment of bacterial infections caused by organisms of the genus Staphylococcus. Methicillin is a semisynthetic derivative of penicillin. It was first produced in the late 1950s and was developed as a type of antibiotic called penicillinase-resistant penicillin—it contained a modification to the original penicillin structure that made it resistant to a bacterial enzyme called penicillinase (beta-lactamase). Compared to other penicillins that face antimicrobial resistance due to β-lactamase, it is less active, can be administered only parenterally, and has a higher frequency of interstitial nephritis, an otherwise-rare adverse effect of penicillins. However, the selection of meticillin depended on the outcome of susceptibility testing of the sampled infection, and since it is no longer produced, it is also not routinely tested for anymore.

Ergonovine (also known as ergometrine) is the active water soluble component of ergot of rye. Ergonovine is being used as a maleate salt to prevent or treate postpartum haemorrhage and postabortion haemorrhage. Ergonovine stimulates alpha-adrenergic and serotonin receptors, thus activating contractions of uterine and vascular smooth muscle. Ergonovine may have depressant effect on CNS system as it binds to dopamine receptors.

Trimeprazine (also known as Alimemazine), a phenothiazine used as antipsychotic drug. This drug is used in Russia under brand name TERALIGEN and has anti-histamine, sedative, and anti-emetic (anti-nausea) effects. Teraligen is used to treat neurosis, depression and anxiety of different origins. It prevents and relieves allergic conditions, which cause pruritus and urticaria by blocking histamine produced by the body during an allergic reaction. Trimeprazine competes with free histamine for binding at HA-receptor sites. This antagonizes the effects of histamine on HA-receptors, leading to a reduction of the negative symptoms brought on by histamine HA-receptor binding. Trimeprazine is not approved for use in humans in the United States. Nevertheless, combination of alimemazine and prednisolone (commonly sold under the brand name Temaril-P) is licensed as an antipruritic and antitussive in dogs.

Nandrolone is used in the form of a variety of long-acting prodrug esters for intramuscular injection, the most common of which are nandrolone decanoate. Nandrolone decanoate is indicated for the management of the anemia of renal insufficiency and has been shown to increase hemoglobin and red cell mass. Certain clinical effects and adverse reactions demonstrate the androgenic properties of this class of drugs. Complete dissociation of anabolic and androgenic effects has not been achieved.
