The 17-ketosteroid epiandrosterone is a metabolite of testosterone precursor dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA).
Epiandrosterone have been considered to be merely inactive end product of DHEA, but may in fact be physiological effectors in their own right. It is formed in peripheral tissues, from which it is released into the circulation and is ultimately excreted in the urine. Epiandrosterone is only a weak androgen, but it is widely recognized to inhibit the pentose phosphate pathway and to decrease intracellular NADPH levels. Epiandrosterone may act as a L-type Ca2+ channel antagonist. Epiandrosterone mainly transformed into 17beta-hydroxylated derivatives, 7- or 16alpha-hydroxylated metabolites under NAD(P)H conditions, and 5alpha-androstane-3,17-dione under NAD(P)+ conditions. Epiandrosterone is used as an anabolic agent (dietary supplement, a precursor to dihydrotestosterone) to increase strength, muscle hardness and also improves libido.
tert-Dodecylmercaptan is compound from the group of thiols. The technical product is a mixture of isomers where the position of the thiol group varies. tert-Dodecylmercaptan is used predominantly as a molecular weight regulator in manufacturing of butadiene and styrene-based polymers.
Epinephrine 3-sulfate is Epinephrine natural metabolite, that can be used for determination of catecholamine sulfoconjugate isomers in normal human urine.
Might be used as an ingredient of composition to prevent and control mouth odor, which is also effective in preventing calculus, plaque, caries and periodontal disease.
Zinc 2-ethylhexanoate is widely used in polyvinylchloride heat stabilizer, polyurethane catalyst and lubricant additive. It is an auxiliary drier used as pigments dispersing agent and prevents the paint film from webbing and frosting effects. It is involved in the preparation of highly porous dentritic zinc oxide nanostructures.
1,2-Dichlorobenzene is a derivative of benzene, having two chlorines attached to adjacent carbon atoms. The major use of 1,2-dichlorobenzene is as an intermediate in the synthesis of several organic compounds (e.g. 3,4-dichloroaniline) and in the syntheses of the herbicides. It is used as an industrial solvent for toluene diisocyanate, an additive to degreasing agents, a heat exchange medium, a deodorant for garbage and sewage, an ingredient in paint removers, an engine cleaner and de-inking solvent, and a solvent and intermediate in dye manufacture 1,2-Dichlorobenzene is also used as an insecticide and a fumigant to control peach tree borers, bark beetles, grubs, and termites and to kill mites and other insects in poultry houses and animal sleeping quarters.
Ursocholic acid (UCA) is the 7 beta epimer of the naturally occurring primary bile acid, cholic acid. Cholic acid (CA) administration does not reduce biliary cholesterol saturation unless its 7 alpha dehydroxylation to deoxycholic acid (DCA) is prevented by concomitant antibiotic treatment. It was shown, that UCA caused diarrhoea and hypercholesterolemia, had only a modest effect on biliary cholesterol saturation and thus UCA was not able to replace ursodeoxycholic and chenodeoxycholic acid for medical treatment of gallstones. In addition, as discovered, during ursocholic acid therapy the synthesis of primary bile acids continued whereas the formation of secondary bile acids was greatly increase.
Tecnazene, also known as 2,3,5,6-tetrachloro-1-nitrobenzene or tcnb, is a member of the class of compounds known as nitrobenzenes. Tecnazene is a dual acting pesticide. It is used as a plant growth
regulator to suppress sprouts on potatoes during storage
and as a fungicide to prevent dry rot on the tubers. Human
exposure is primarily through ingestion of food residues,
with an Acceptable Daily Intake level of 0.01 mg/kg of body
weight according to FAO/WHO guidelines. Tecnazene is
commercially available as granules and as dispersible dust
formulations.

Fensulfothion is an organophosphate insecticide/nematicide. Fensulfothion is highly toxic to man and other non-target terrestrial and aquatic organisms from acute oral and dermal routes of exposure. Fensulfothion is registered for use as preplant or at-planting soil application to tobacco and various fruits and vegetables. Postplant topical applications are permitted in addition to the at-planting application on corn, peanuts, and rutabagas. Topical application is also permitted on commercial and ornamental turf. Fensulfothion is an organophosphate insecticide/nematicide that kills primarily by contact action, but also provides some systemic control of insects attacking the foliage of treated plants. The mode of action is by phosphorylating the acetylcholinesterase enzyme of tissues, allowing accumulation of acetylcholine at nerve junctions, with subsequent blocking effects upon the central nervous system.
Glyceryl 1,2-dilaurate is the fatty acid diester of glycerol. Glyceryl diesters, on a whole, are FDA and CIR approved and are given the GRAS rating. It is used as an emollient (skin conditioning agent) in cosmetics for increasing the "body" and viscosity of emulsions and improving the elegance of low-cost formulations. In addition, it may be used for the preparation of nanolipid carriers for drug delivery.
