Propoxycarbazone-Sodium (also known as BAY MKH 6561) is asulfonylaminocarbonyltriazolinone derivative patented by German multinational pharmaceutical and life sciences company Bayer A.-G. as herbicide Propoxycarbazone inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS), and has selectivity on spring, winter, and durum varieties. The spectrum of control includes several species of monocot and dicot weeds at the application rates of 30 to 45 g/ha. Bromus control is the primary target since existing herbicides have limited timing, selectivity, and use patterns which reduce usefulness. Propoxycarbazone applied postemergence between the 1- to 2-leaf stage and shoot elongation has provided economic control of the following Bromus species: B. tectorum, B. secalinus, B. mollis, B. rigidus, and B. japonicus. Side effects, and sometimes control, was also noted on Aegilops tauschii for which there is no selective control outside genetically altered wheat cultivars. Broadleaf control was obtained primarily on the mustard family, including species in the genera Sisymbrium, Brassica, Descurainia, Chorispora, Camelina, Capsella, and Thlaspi. Propoxycarbazone provides control for adequate weed spectrum, however, considerations of resistance management, difficult and diverse weed pressure, and extended growing seasons will sometimes necessitate the use of sequential herbicides or mix partners.

AGE-RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION (AMD), PROLIFERATIVE DIABETIC RETINOPATHY (PDR) AND DIABETIC MACULAR EDEMA (DME) are collectively characterized by VEGF mediated retinal leakage, angiogenesis, and an underlying inflammatory process. TargeGen's TG100801 is designed to inhibit a select group of kinases involved in those three processes. Currently approved drug based therapy for macular degeneration requires repeated injection into the eye. TG100801 is the first topically applied, VEGFR)/Src kinase inhibitor to advance into the clinic for the treatment of Age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy. The formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis), blood vessel leakage, and inflammation contribute to the progression of the eye disease, which is the leading cause of irreversible, severe loss of vision in people 55 years of age and older in the developed world. In cell based assays, following topical instillation, TG100572, the active drug produced by conversion of TG100801 as it penetrates the eye, was shown to induce apoptosis in proliferating endothelial cells responsible for neovasculariztion and to inhibit inflammatory-mediated processes as measured by endotoxin-induced nitric oxide release in vitro.

Recilisib (also known as EX-RAD or ON-01210) is a radioprotectant, which means that this compound can protect cells from harmful effects of ionizing radiation. Unlike other radioprotectors, recilisib is not a free-radical scavenger or responsible for cell cycle arrest. Recilisib was suggested to have a different radiation protection mechanism involving DNA repair pathways. This compound has been studied as prophylactic (use prior to radiation exposure) and therapeutic (after exposure to radiation) drug. In studies with healthy volunteers, recilisib was rapidly absorbed and well-tolerated, with only mild adverse events. Phase I clinical trials have been completed.

Cenisertib (also known as R763) is water-soluble, synthetic small molecule aurora kinase inhibitor with potential antineoplastic activity. Cenisertib is a potent adenine triphosphate-competitive inhibitor of Aurora kinase isoforms A–C, disrupting mitotic spindle activity, blocking cell separation, and leading to polyploidy and cell death. At low nanomolar concentrations, Cenisertib also inhibits other kinases involved in cell survival and proliferation including FLT3, BCR-ABL1, and BCR-ABL1 with T315I mutation. It also inhibits JAK2 kinase, but at higher concentrations. Preclinically, Cenisertib has demonstrated potent antitumor activity as a single agent and in combination treatment in leukemia cell lines, freshly isolated leukemia cells, and leukemia xenograft models. Toxicities appear to be related mainly to the gastrointestinal and hematopoietic systems. In animal models, activity and toxicity depend not only on dose but also on the schedule of administration.
