Cediranib (AZD-2171) is a VEGFR-2 kinase inhibitor which was developed by AstraZeneca for the treatment of cancer. The drug reached the final stage of approval by European Medicines Agency in 2008 under the name Zemfirza (it was recommended to be taken in combination with platinum-based chemotherapy), however on 19 September 2016 AstraZeneca decided to withdraw the Marketing Authorisation Application.
Masitinib is a new orally administered tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets mast cells and macrophages, important cells for immunity, through inhibiting a limited number of kinases. Based on its unique mechanism of action, masitinib can be developed in a large number of conditions in oncology, in inflammatory diseases, and in certain diseases of the central nervous system. In oncology due to its immunotherapy effect, masitinib can have an effect on survival, alone or in combination with chemotherapy. Through its activity on mast cells and consequently the inhibition of the activation of the inflammatory process, masitinib can have an effect on the symptoms associated with some inflammatory and central nervous system diseases and the degeneration of these diseases. AB Science is developing masitinib in multiple sclerosis and alzheimer's disease. Masitinib targets kinases, including c-Kit, PDGFR, and Lyn. It is used in the treatment of mast cell tumors in animals, specifically dogs. Since its introduction in November 2008 it has been distributed under the commercial name Masivet. It has been available in Europe since the second part of 2009. In the USA it is distributed under the name Kinavet.

Etilefrine is a cardiac stimulant used as an antihypotensive. Intravenous infusion of this compound increases cardiac output, stroke volume, venous return and blood pressure in man and experimental animals, suggesting stimulation of both α and β adrenergic receptors. However, in vitro studies indicate that etilefrine has a much higher affinity for β1 (cardiac) than for β2 adrenoreceptors. Intravenous etilefrine increases the pulse rate, cardiac output, stroke volume, central venous pressure and mean arterial pressure of healthy individuals. Marked falls in pulse rate, cardiac output, stroke volume and peripheral bloodflow, accompanied by rises in mean arterial pressure, occur when etilefrine is infused after administration of intravenous propranolol 2,5 mg. These findings indicate that etilefrine has both β1 and α1 adrenergic effects in man. The French Health Products Agency concluded that etilefrine and heptaminol have an unfavourable harm-benefit balance, and also placed restrictions on the use of midodrine.

Menaquinone-5 (MK-5) is a bacterial respiratory quinone, which belongs to Vitamin K2 derivatives. It can be found in dairy foods and fermented food products.
18F-beta-CIT-FP is a cocaine analog with high affinity for the dopamine transporter. The compound is used as an imaging agent for PET studies and was approved in Korea to diagnose Parkinson's disease.

Bezafibrate is a lipid-lowering fibric acid derivative. Bezafibrate directly bound to and activated all three peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) subtypes respectively in PPAR binding and transactivation assays. However, from a biochemical point of view, bezafibrate is a PPAR ligand with a relatively low potency. Bezafibrate leads to considerable raising of HDL cholesterol and reduces triglycerides, improves insulin sensitivity and reduces blood glucose level, significantly lowering the incidence of cardiovascular events and new diabetes in patients with features of metabolic syndrome. It is the only pan-PPAR activator with more than a quarter of a century of therapeutic experience with a good safety profile.

Ingavirin is pentanedioic acid imidazolyl ethanamide used for the treatment of Influenza and Common Cold in Russia and some other countries. The mechanism of action is implemented at the level of infected cells due to the stimulation of innate immunity factors suppressed by viral proteins. The drug causes an increase in the content of interferon in the blood to the physiological norm, stimulates and normalizes the reduced α-interferon-producing ability of blood leukocytes, stimulates the γ-interferon-producing ability of leukocytes.

Celiprolol is beta blocker, used to treat high blood pressure. Celiprolol is a selective β1 receptor antagonist, β2 receptor partial agonist. Celiprolol is not approved by the FDA, but is available worldwide under brand names Cardem, Selectol, Celipres, Celipro, Celol, Cordiax, Dilanorm. It is used to treat mild to moderate hypertension and angina prectoris. In 2010 celiprolol has demonstrated positive results in the prevention of vascular complications of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Celiprolol has fewer CNS-related side effects than other beta blockers presumably because of limited penetration through blood-brain barrier because of its solubility.

Epacadostat (INCB024360) is an orally available hydroxyamidine and inhibitor of indoleamine 2,3- dioxygenase (IDO1). It shows little activity against other related enzymes such as IDO2 or tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase (TDO). Epacadostat displays potential immune modulating and antineoplastic activities. Epacadostat has been tested in phase II and III studies for the treatment of malignant melanoma, fallopian tube cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, ovarian cancer, peritoneal cancer, solid tumors, pancreatic cancer. The most common detected adverse events were fatigue, nausea, decreased appetite, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dyspnea, back pain, and cough.

Chidamide (CS055) is a novel and orally active benzamide class of histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor that selectively inhibits activity of HDAC1, 2, 3 and 10, the enzymes that are involved and play an important role in tumor initiation and development in both tumor cells and their surrounding micro-environment. It was approved by the CFDA in December 2014 for the treatment of recurrent of refractory peripheral T-cell lymphoma. Reported hematological adverse events are: neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia. Chidamide is under investigation as a potential agent for the treatment of other types of tumors.
