CHEMICAL (ACHIRAL)
Conditions:
Diacetamate (Acetaminophen Acetate, Acetaminophen Impurity, diacetyl-p-aminophenol) is a acetaminophen synthetic impurity. Acetaminophen-aspirin
mixtures have lower stability due to acetylation of the former
by the latter, producing diacetyl-p-aminophenol.

Conditions:
Racemethorphan is racemic mixture of Dextromethorphan and Levomethorphan. Racemethorphan is listed under the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs 1961 and is therefore listed in the United States as a Controlled Substance, specifically as a Narcotic in Schedule II. Dextromethorphan is a non-narcotic morphine derivative widely used as an antitussive. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant in many over-the-counter cold and cough medicines. In 2010, the FDA approved the combination product dextromethorphan/quinidine for the treatment of pseudobulbar affect. Dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex by a direct action on the cough center in the medulla of the brain. Levomethorphan is an opioid analgesic of the morphinan family that has never been marketed.

Seproxetine, also known as (S)-norfluoxetine, is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It is the most important active metabolite of the widely used antidepressant fluoxetine, but little is known about its pharmacological actions. Seproxetine was being investigated by Eli Lilly and Company as an antidepressant; however, a cardiac side effect was noted and development was discontinued.

Olaquindox, a potent antibacterial agent, is used as an effective feed additive in the livestock industry. Olaquindox could potentially expose a human to the risk of biological hazards due to its genotoxicity and cytotoxicity. However, the potential mechanism of toxicity is still unknown. Recently was provided experiments to explore the molecular mechanism of p21 on olaquindox-induced mitochondrial apoptosis. It was shown, that olaquindox promoted the production of ROS, suppressed the protein expression p21 in a p53-independent way and phosphorylated p21. This experiment provided new insights into the molecular mechanism of olaquindox and shed light on the role of p21.
