Framycetin is a component of neomycin that is produced by Streptomyces fradiae. Framycetin is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis. Framycetin is an antibiotic. It is not active against fungi, viruses and most kinds of anaerobic bacteria. Framycetin works by binding to the bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit, causing misreading of t-RNA, leaving the bacterium unable to synthesize proteins vital to its growth. Framycetin is useful primarily in infections involving aerobic bacteria bacteria. Framycetin binds to specific 30S-subunit proteins and 16S rRNA, four nucleotides of 16S rRNA and a single amino acid of protein S12. This interferes with decoding site in the vicinity of nucleotide 1400 in 16S rRNA of 30S subunit. This region interacts with the wobble base in the anticodon of tRNA. This leads to interference with the initiation complex, misreading of mRNA so incorrect amino acids are inserted into the polypeptide leading to nonfunctional or toxic peptides and the breakup of polysomes into nonfunctional monosomes. Framycetin is a component of SOFRACORT (Framycetin sulphate - Gramicidin-dexamethasone), indicated for the treatment of blepharitis and infected eczema of the eyelid; allergic, infective and rosacea conjunctivitis;
rosacea keratitis; scleritis and episcleritis; iridocyclitis, and other inflammatory conditions of the
anterior segment of the eye, as well as otitis externa (acute and chronic) and other inflammatory and sebhorrheic conditions of the external ear.

Carpipramine (Prazinil, Defekton) is an atypical antipsychotic used for the treatment of schizophrenia and anxiety in France and Japan. In addition to its neuroleptic and anxiolytic effects, carpipramine also has hypnotic properties. In september 2014 L'ANSM decided to withdraw the marketing of Prazinil (carpipramine).

Conditions:
Zacopride is a potent antagonist at the 5-HT3 receptor and an agonist at the 5-HT4 receptor with antiemetic, anxiolytic and nootropic effects in animal models. Zacopride also has pro-respiratory effects, both reducing sleep apnea and reversing opioid-induced respiratory depression in animal studies. Zacopride has been tested in clinical trials for the treatment of schizophrenia but was found unsuccessful.

Conditions:
Butamisole is an injectable imidazothiazoles anthelmintic. In dogs it is used for the treatment of infections with whipworms (Trichuris vulpis ), and the hookworm (Ancylostoma caninum ). Nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist. Acts as agonist at nicotinic Ach receptor of nematode à ganglionic stimulation causes sustained muscle contraction initially followed by depolarising neuro muscular blockade which in turn leads to spastic paralysis.

Clocapramine is a chlorinated derivative of carpipramine. The hydrochloride has been given orally in the treatment of schizophrenia. Clocapramine is an antagonist of the Dopamine D2 and Serotonine (5-HT2) receptors. It has been implicated in at least one strange death, including a suicide. It augments the paroxetine in the panic disorder treatment.

Bupranolol is a non-selective beta blocker without intrinsic sympathomimetic activity (ISA), but with strong membrane stabilizing activity. Bupranolol competes with sympathomimetic neurotransmitters such as catecholamines for binding at beta(1)-adrenergic receptors in the heart, inhibiting sympathetic stimulation. This results in a reduction in resting heart rate, cardiac output, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and reflex orthostatic hypotension. Ophthalmic Bupranolol is used for the management of glaucoma and oral Bupranolol is used for the management of cardiovascular disorders. S-Bupranolol has also being shown to have superior preclinical safety profile and great antinociceptive efficacy and should be considered as a unique b-AR compound to advance future clinical pain studies.

Bisdequalinium (also known as R-199, trade name Solvidont) is an antibacterial agent for endodontic use. Bisdequalinium was available in three dispensing forms: an irrigation solution, a working solution, and a medication paste. They contained 0.125 %, 0.5 %, and 0.48 % Bisdequalinium respectively. The low cytotoxicity and high antimicrobial effects, detergent, and lubricating and chelating properties, all claimed in the manufacturer's brochure, make this material an appropriate candidate for clinical endodontic use.

Probicromil is a Histamine H1 antagonist. It was taken to the clinic and found to be effective in exercise and antigen challenge. Probicromil inhibited Ascaris-induced bronchoconstriction and the increase in plasma histamine levels seen after Ascaris inhalation. Therapeutic efficacy in seasonal rhinitis was also demonstrated. Further clinical studies were halted because of a side-effect associated with the compound, namely a sensation of warmth (especially in the perineal region) experienced by some volunteers after inhalation.
