Ebiratide (Hoe 427) is a peptide analog of corticotrophin (ACTH 4-9). Ebiratide is endocrinologically inert. Ebiratide is highly lipophilic and has prolonged metabolic stability. Ebiratide exerts neurotrophic properties in vivo. It also was proven to have significant effects on acetylcholine metabolism. It has been investigated in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Esuberaprost (314d) is an active enantiomer of beraprost, a prostacyclin analog. The pharmacologic action of esuberaprost is mediated by specifically binding to PGI2 receptors in smooth muscle cells (the blood vessel’s endothelium) and platelets. Upon binding, the compound widened blood vessels, preventing the formation of blood clots, and lowering blood pressure in the lungs. As a result, it was expected to improve the symptoms of pulmonary arterial hypertension. United Therapeutics announced it has ended its Phase 3 BEAT trial testing esuberaprost as an add-on therapy to its product Tyvaso (inhaled treprostinil) for clinically symptomatic patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). According to a company press release, the study failed to reach its main endpoint of delaying the time to first clinical worsening events.

Lifirafenib (BGB-283 or BEIGENE-283), a dual inhibitor targeting BRAF kinase and EGFR, was studied for the treatment of different cancer types harboring mutations in BRAF, KRAS, and NRAS. Lifirafenib participates in Phase II clinical trial in combination with PD-0325901 to treat the patients with solid tumor.

Detirelix is a synthetic decapeptide containing five D-amino acids. It is a very potent Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnHR) antagonist. The acute effects of detirelix were consistent with peripheral vasodilation. Subchronic effects were associated with inhibition of pituitary gonadotropic and gonadal hormone secretion. As long-acting GnRH antagonist detirelix can rapidly suppress gonadotropin secretion, inhibit follicular development, and prevent ovulation. It can be used as luteolytic agent. A projected use is for the treatment of sex hormone-releasing diseases, as part of anticancer hormone therapy of sex-hormone-dependent tumors.

Cutamesine, an agonsit of brain sigma 1 receptors, was developed by Santen Pharmaceutical for the treatment of cognitive diseases. The drug was tested in phase II in patients with major depressive disorders and for recovery of patients with stroke, however its development was terminated for the given conditions. Currently M's science corporation is developing cutamesine for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and Retinitis pigmentosa as more suitable target diseases.
