Tosufloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent. Tosufloxacin is an inhibitor of bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. Tosufloxacin is indicated for the treatment of various infections such as skin, respiratory, urinary, gynecologic, ophthalmologic, otolaryngologic, dental infections. Fluoroquinolones including tosufloxacin have a potential risk of inducing cartilage and joint toxicity in children. It is also associated with severe thrombocytopenia and nephritis, and hepatotoxicity.

Imidapril (Tanatril), through its active metabolite imidaprilat, acts as an ACE inhibitor to suppress the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II and thereby reduce total peripheral resistance and systemic blood pressure (BP). In clinical trials, oral imidapril was an effective antihypertensive agent in the treatment of mild to moderate essential hypertension. Some evidence suggests that imidapril also improves exercise capacity in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) and reduces urinary albumin excretion rate in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus. Imidapril was well tolerated, with a lower incidence of dry cough than enalapril or benazepril, and is a first choice ACE inhibitor for the treatment of mild to moderate essential hypertension.

Prulifloxacin is a prodrug of ulifloxacin which has been approved in Italy, Japan, China, India and Greece, for treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria, in the following conditions: acute uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections (simple cystitis); complicated lower urinary tract infections; acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis; gastroenteritis, including infectious diarrheas. Like other fluoroquinolones, prulifloxacin prevents bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair and recombination through inhibition of bacterial DNA gyrase.

Bifemelane is a psychotropic drug, was found to inhibit monoamine oxidase (MAO). It inhibited type A MAO (MAO-A) competitively and type B (MAO-B) noncompetitively and it was a more potent inhibitor of MAO-A than of MAO-B. Bifemelane is an antidepressant and cerebral activator that is used in Japan for the treatment of cerebral infarction patients with depressive symptoms, and in the treatment of senile dementia as well. It also appears to be useful in the treatment of glaucoma.

Clorprenaline is a β2-adrenergic receptor agonist. As a bronchodilator it has been used for the treatment of bronchial asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory diseases. It is a potential new lean meat-boosting feed additive because it can promote animal muscular mass growth and decrease fat accumulation.
Vernakalant is a new antiarrhythmic drug that acts selectively in the atrium, targeting atrial specific channels. Vernakalant is an anti-arrhythmic medicine that acts preferentially in the atria by prolonging atrial refractoriness and by rate-dependently slowing impulse conduction. These anti-fibrillatory actions on refractoriness and conduction are thought to suppress reentry, and are potentiated in the atria during atrial fibrillation. The preferential effects of vernakalant on the atria are postulated to result from its block of currents that are expressed in the atria (e.g., the ultra-rapid delayed rectifier potassium current; and the acetylcholine-activated potassium current), but not in the ventricles, as well as the unique electrophysiologic condition of the fibrillating atria. An oral formulation of vernakalant is in phase II development as a long-term maintenance therapy for patients with atrial fibrillation. An intravenous formulation of vernakalant has been launched in most countries in Europe and Latin America, and in Hong Kong, for the acute conversion of atrial fibrillation. The product has been approved for the acute conversion of atrial fibrillation in South Africa, Iceland, Turkey and is awaiting approval for the same indication in Canada. Phase III development of the IV formulation is ongoing at sites in Asia, and development is currently on hold in the US.

Lobenzarit is an immunomodulator and antioxidative agent, which has been used successfully in Japan for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Lobenzarit is a scavenger of oxygen-free radicals such as hydroxyl radicals, superoxide, peroxyl and singlet oxygen. Side effects of this medicine are: decreased/considerably increased urinary volume, bloody urine, frequent urination.

Clebopride is a dopamine antagonist drug. It is used to treat functional gastrointestinal disorder such as nausea or vomiting. Unchanged parent drug was the most abundant compound in human urine. Major metabolites included the hydroxylation at benzyl group to yield carbinolamine and its further N-dealkylation product, and the piperidine ring hydroxylation/oxidation metabolite (a lactam).
Potassium Glycerophosphate is a source of potassium. It is used in the treatment of nutritional deficiencies. Potassium supplements can be an important part of the recovery from or prevention of many different ailments and diseases. The most common of these include helping lower blood pressure and serving as a stroke preventative. Potassium can also be used to lower levels of calcium, to help with certain diseases including Alzheimer’s and Meniere’s. It may also help with some more common issues such as a common allergy, migraines, heavy acne, alcohol abuse, dizziness and confusion, extreme fatigue, recurring constipation, insomnia, anger and aggression, irregular heartbeat and stress. Potassium can either be taken as a supplement by mouth or it can be given intravenously to certain patients who require a faster dosing of the mineral or cannot take it orally.
