Eight female pigs were anaesthetized byinitially intramuscular injection of a 1 ml mixture con-sisting of zolamine 5 mg/ml, butorphanol 1 mg/ml,ketamine 10 mg/ml and xylazin 2 mg/ml, followedby continuous intravenous infusion of propofol10 mg/kg per hour and fentanyl 0.025 mg/kg perhour throughout the operation.
