Sample Use Guides

280 patients exhibiting photosensitivity and other patients suspected of sunscreen dermatitis were patch and photo-patch tested with a pre-selected series of relevant contact allergens and photo-allergens, including Mexenone. Fifteen of the 280 patients (5%) had posative allergic reactions; 3 of them were allergic to more than one agent. The most frequent contact allergens were hydroxy methoxy methyl benzophenone (Mexenone), followed by isopropyl dibenzoylmethane (Eusolex 8020/8021), octyl dimethyl para-aminobenzoate (Escalol 507).
