NNC0385-0434 is designed to inhibit PCSK9 interaction with the LDL-R. The peptide,
NNC0385-0434, is based on the EGF-A domain, an extracellular part of the LDL-R considered the
main binding site for PCSK9. NNC0385-0434 competes with the EGF-A site on LDL-R for free
circulating PCSK9 and by that reduces the amount of PCSK9 available to interact with the LDL-R. The result is increased recycling of LDL-R leading to increased abundance of hepatic LDL-R and LDL-C clearance
