Indoramin is an alpha-1 selective antagonist of adrenergic receptor, sold under trade names Baratol and Doralese, and now available as a generic. It has no reflex tachycardia and direct myocardial depression action and is used to treat benign prostate hyperplasia (as 20 mg tablets) or reduce blood pressure (as 25 mg strength tablets). It was also investigated as a treatment of a migraine and congestive heart failure.

Timonacic or thioproline (4-Thiazolidinecarboxylic acid) is the product of condensation between cysteine and formaldehyde. Dietary timonacic slows the aging process in mammals and prolongs their life span. It exerts antioxidant and antineoplastic actions however its mechanism of action is elusive. Timonacic (brand names Heparegen or Arbitol) is used for the treatment of liver diseases.

Beclabuvir (previously known as BMS-791325), a potent, non-nucleoside inhibitor of the HCV NS5B RNA polymerase. In combination with daclatasvir and asunaprevir drug participates in clinical trials phase III for patients infected with HCV genotype 1, which is the most common genotype worldwide. Recently published data has shown that this combination achieved very high rates of viral eradication.

Sodium 1-Naphthaleneacetate (SODIUM 1-NAPHTHALENEACETATE) is a plant growth regulator. It has being shown that root application of certain concentration of sodium naphthalene acetate (SNA) could promote the growth of tomato seedlings by increasing the tomato root activity, protective enzymes activity, Pn and regulating endogenous hormone concentration under suboptimum temperature and light condition.

Cu-64 is an isotope of copper with potential use in PET imaging and the targeted radiotherapy of cancer. It has a complex decay scheme, with electron capture, beta-emission and positron emission branches. Cu-64 in the most simple salt form as well as linked to a variety of bioactive molecules can be used as theranostic agents in human malignancies such as prostate, glioblastoma, melanoma, breast cancers) and also diagnosis of human copper-associated diseases such as atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s etc.
There are some examples of investigational Cu-64-based radiopharmaceuticals: Cu-64-ATSM for imaging hypoxia, Cu-64-labeled peptides for tumor-receptor targeting, Cu-64-labeled monoclonal antibodies for targeting tumor antigens, and Cu-64-labeled nanoparticles for cancer targeting.

Dimetofrine is a selective agonist of post-synaptic a1-adrenergic receptors. The drug was investigated as a cardiostimulant to treat orthostatic hypotension. Clinical investigation showed that dimetofrine relieves asthenia, paleness, drowsiness, fatigue, headache and other symptoms associated with hypotension. It was observed, that in acidic conditions similar to conditions in the stomach, dimetofrine is able to react with nitrites with the formation of highly mutagenic compound 2,6-dimethoxy-1,4-benzoquinone (DMBQ).

Enilconazole is a synthetic broad-spectrum antimycotic with a high activity against most of the common dermatophytes and various other fungi and yeasts. It is a selective inhibitor of ergosterol biosynthesis, an essential component of the cell membrane of fungi and yeasts. This results in irreversible changes which are the origin of the fungicidal effect. Enilconazole is marketed under the brand name Imaverol among others. Imaverol concentrated solution is a synthetic antimycotic with a potent antifungal action against dermatophytes such as: Trichophyton verrucosum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton equinum, and Microsporum canis in horses and dogs.
