Diallyl disulfide (DADS) or allyl disulfide is the main organosulfur ingredient in garlic, with known antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. It has been shown to have multi-targeted antitumor activities in a variety of cancer cells Experiments in vitro have revealed, that diallyl disulfide inhibits the metastasis of type Ⅱ esophageal-gastric junction adenocarcinoma cells via NF-κB and PI3K/AKT signaling pathways. At the same time, was shown the drug suppresses cell stemness, proliferation, metastasis and glucose metabolism in breast cancer stem cells partly through the inhibition of CD44/PKM2/AMPK. Besides diallyl disulfide can be a promising agent for the treatment of emphysema, this was discovered in experiments on rats. And also drug shows protective effects against acetaminophen (AAP)-induced acute hepatotoxicity.
Molybdenum Disulfide is the inorganic Molybdenum salt often used in dry lubricants and in petroleum refining. Its semiconducting ability and similarity to the carbon-based graphene make molybdenum disulfide of interest to scientists as a possible candidate for use in the manufacture of electronics. Molybdenum Disulfide is often a component of blends and composites that require low friction. For example, it is added to graphite to improve sticking. Molybdenum Disulfide is employed as a cocatalyst for desulfurization in petrochemistry, for example, hydrodesulfurization. The effectiveness of the Molybdenum Disulfide catalysts is enhanced by doping with small amounts of cobalt or nickel. The intimate mixture of these sulfides is supported on alumina. Such catalysts are generated in situ by treating molybdate/cobalt or nickel-impregnated alumina with H2S or an equivalent reagent.

Targets:
Butein, a plant polyphenol, has been reported to exhibit several important pharmacological effects, such as anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-oxidant and anti-angiogenic. It was first found in Toxicodendronvernicifluum, a tree widely used as a local food additive and therapeutic supplement in South East Asia. It can also be isolated from the heartwood of Dalbergiaodorifera, the seed of Cyclopiasubternata and the stems of Semecarpusanacardium, as well as many other plants. Butein was shown to be a specific protein tyrosine kinase inhibitor. This compound inhibited tyrosine-specific protein kinase activities of EGF receptor and p60(c-Src). In preclinical settings, it was shown to improve the treatment outcome of several chronic diseases including inflammation, neurological disorders, neoplasms, atherosclerosis, as well as infectious diseases, and most of these actions were accomplished by the inhibition of the transcription factor NF-κB and its downstream targets.
