Levormeloxifene (INN) is an experimental selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that was being developed as an alternative to estrogen replacement therapy for the treatment and prevention of postmenopausal bone loss. Levormeloxifene is the levorotatory enantiomer of non-hormonal, non-steroidal oral contraceptive -- ormeloxifene (trade names Novex-DS, Centron, and Sevista). The development of Levormeloxifene was stopped because of a high incidence of gynecologic adverse events during clinical trials.

Mefenidramium is an active ingredient of the Danish drug Paradryl that was used to treat pruritus with varicella and as a palliative treatment of estival rhinitis in children.

Etozolin is a diuretic used in Europe under the names Diulozin, Elkapin, Etopinil for the treatment of edema and hypertension. The exact mechanism of etozolin action is unknown. The current marketing status of the drug is unavailable and is supposed to be discontinued.

Alarelin (Gonadotrophin-releasing hormone) is a synthetic LH-RH agonist, which is used to treat endmometriosis. Alarelin Acetate is the acetate form of a hypothalamic peptide that stimulates the release of FSH and LH from the pituitary gland.

METHOPHOLINE, an isoquinoline derivative, is an opioid analgesic drug. Its (R)-enatiomer is approximately six times more potent than codeine, and (S)-enantiomer is inactive. METHOPHOLINE was withdrawn from the market for reasons of safety.

DODICIN (Tego-51), one of the amphoteric surfactants based on the dodecyl-di( aminoethyl)-glycine, has been considered as an effctive disinfectant having a broad specturn of antimicrobial activity. Tego-51 disinfectant was effective for the disinfection of commonly isolated bacteria and yeast from hospital. It may be recommended that Tego-51 should be used at concentration greater than 0.1% for the effective disinfection of skin, instruments and hospital floors.
