Methyl boronic acid is used as excipients in a cardiac nuclear stress test, Lexiscan. Recently published article has shown that methyl boronic acid had a positive future in agriculture, because it was capable of alleviating boron deficiency, enhancing plant growth, and was less toxic than boric acid at higher concentrations.
