Isonicotinic acid considered to be inactive isomer of nicotinic acid. Isonicotinic acid is a metabolite of pyridine-4-carboxy hydrazide (isonicotinyl hydrazide; isoniazid) a front-line weapon in the battle against tuberculosis.
