CyPep-1 interacts specifically with neoplastic cells based on their unique electrochemical properties. Assessment of the immune cell composition of tumors following CyPep-1 treatment revealed significant increases in the percentages of CD45+,CD8+, and natural killer (NK) cells, an increased CD8+/Treg cell ratio, and increased percentages of activated CD8+ and NK cells which were positive for PD-1 (LIH_CyPep-1_July 2021). Consistent with an immunomodulatory function, CyPep-1 treatment is synergistic with PD-1 inhibition and exerts an indirect effect on distant non-injected tumors
