TARGET -> INHIBITOR
Strong inhibitor. As can be seen, 5-FMT dose-dependently inhibited only the activity of MAO A similarly in these regions of the brain with no effect on MAOB. The IC50 values (the dose to inhibit MAO A activity 50%) in these regions of the brain were about 11 mg/kg (0.05 mmol/kg).
TARGET -> AGONIST
Could be an active psychedelic in humans, although it is not known to have been tested in humans and could be dangerous due to its strong inhibition of MAO-A.
