Description

Ethylene glycol monoethyl ether (2-ethoxyethanol) is a solvent with many commercial and industrial applications. It is found in multi-purpose cleaners such as varnish removers and degreasing solutions due to its ability to dissolve oils, resins, grease, waxes, nitrocellulose, and lacquer. 2-Ethoxyethanol is used as a diluent for color additive mixtures in the food industry and in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of colored capsules.
