Description

2-Ethoxyethyl acetate (2-EEA) is a colourless liquid with a fruity smell at room temperature and normal pressure. 2-Ethoxyethyl acetate belongs to the group of glycol ethers which are mainly used as solvents. 2-EEA was mainly used as a solvent in the chemical industry and for the formulation of paints, lacquers and varnishes for industrial use. 2-EEA was also used as an intermediate in the chemical industry.

In Vivo Use Guide
Male beagle dogs were exposed to 50 ppm 2-Ethoxyethyl acetate for 5 hr, and breath samples were collected during the exposure and a 3-hr recovery period. After IV dosing with 1 mg/kg of 2-Ethoxyethyl acetate the urine contained 20% and 61% of the dose in 4 and 24 hr, respectively.
