The acute lethal oral dose of perchlorate is estimated to be 214 mg/kg for a 70-
kg for an adult human.

Treatment with all the zinc compounds at all concentrations
applied were able to significantly inhibit F. verticillioides growth
from ≥ 25 mmol/L concentration, with Zn(ClO4)2 (Zinc perchlorate)
being the treatment that completely inhibited fungi colony
growth at 100 mmol/L.
