Sample Use Guides

toxic effect in rabbits: 4-hour exposures to uranium compounds using a lanolin vehicle showed that water-soluble compounds (uranyl fluoride, uranium tetrachloride, uranium pentachloride) were the most toxic; the slightly soluble compounds (uranium trioxide, sodium diuranate, ammonium diuranate) were less toxic, and the water insoluble compounds (uranium tetrafluoride, uranium dioxide, uranium peroxide, uriuranium octoxide) caused no deaths.
