Cue-lure is known as 4-(p-Hydroxyphenyl)-2-butanone acetate was synthesized as a highly attractive kairomone lures to the oriental male melon fly (Dacus ochrosiae) and is a Ligand for the insect olfactory receptor complex. Cue-lure is not known to occur naturally, but its hydrolyzed form, raspberry ketone, is known to occur in plant species.
