Ozolinone, an active metabolite of diuretic etozoline was studied also as a loop diuretic. Experiments on dogs have shown that ozolinone, induced stereoselective and prostaglandin-dependent renin secretion, which was involved in the regulation of intra-renal hemodynamics.
