Mertiatide (mercaptoacetylglycylglycylglycine (MAG3) is a technetium-chelating agent based on a triamide monomercaptide tetradentate set of donor groups. Radioisotope complex technetium 99m mertiatide is used as the agent of choice for renal scintigraphy, diuresis renography, captopril augmented renography, and renal transplant.
