ISO-1 F-18 is a benzamide analog radiolabeled with 18F. It is a sigma-2 receptor ligand. Since sigma-2 receptor is expressed in higher density in proliferating tumor cells versus quiescent tumor cells, ISO-1 F-18 can be used as a positron emission tomography (PET) tracer to evaluate tumor proliferation by PET in patients with malignant neoplasms. Currently, ISO-1 F-18 in Phase I clinical trial as an investigational radiotracer in primary breast cancer.
