Magnesium bicarbonate supplemented water provides a source of orally available magnesium. A one-month intake of mineral water rich in calcium, magnesium bicarbonate, and sulfate decreased cholesterol and LDL levels but not TG or HDL levels in dyslipidemic adults. Optimal hydration with Unique Water (Magnesium bicarbonate liquid) over three months may significantly increase blood magnesium levels, may significantly stabilise blood parathyroid hormone levels and may significantly increase blood albumin protein levels.
