Nifuraldezone has been tested with Chinese hamster cells growing in vitro to determine its toxicity and radiosensitizing effectiveness. The most effective compound tested was nifuraldezone which at 250 μm in complete medium gave the same extent of radiosensitization (ER∼2·85) as oxygen in the air-saturated medium.
