Eprobemide (brand name Befol/Бефол), a drug used in Russia, is a selective, reversible monoamine oxidase A (MAO) inhibitor, which causes deamination of noradrenaline, serotonin, partially dopamine and β-phenylethylamine, thus increases the content of neurotransmitter monoamines in the central nervous system. Befol does not affect the deaminination of the tyramine and does not cause its accumulation in the body, in contrast to non-selective inhibitors of irreversible action, that is why the drug causes fewer side effects. Befol is used in adults with depression of different nature: endogenous depression in manic-depressive psychosis and various forms of schizophrenia, depression in patients with chronic alcoholism.

Talaporfin (INN, also known as aspartyl chlorin, mono-L-aspartyl chlorin e6, NPe6, or LS11) is a photosensitizer used in photodynamic therapy (PDT). Talaporfin is injected into tumors and other regret tissues where it accumulates. It’s activated with light emitting diodes (LED). It absorbs red light at 664-667 nm normally provided by a laser tuned to this wavelength. It was approved in Japan (in 2004) for PDT of lung cancer and glioma and marketed as Laserphyrin. Clinical and preclinical studies indicate that talaporfin sodium treatment may offer a powerful option to synergize current therapies, as well as an alternative monotherapy in treating cancer.

Bamethan (butyl-sympatol or vasculat) is an adrenaline derivative developed by C. H. Boehringer Sohn. Bamethan shows a depressor action on peripheral blood vessels as a result of the peripheral vasodilating action caused by stimulation of adrenergic beta-receptor. Bamethan has been used abroad in the treatment of certain peripheral vascular and circulatory disturbances, such as vasospastic conditions, arteriosclerotic peripheral vascular disease, Raynaud's syndrome, occlusive vascular disease of the legs, the post-thrombotic syndrome, degenerative muscular disorders, and other conditions involving peripheral vascular insuffciency.

Norgestomet is a synthetic derivative of progesterone with improved oral activity due to its 17α-acetate side chain. In veterinary medicine norgestomet is used for the synchronisation of oestrus in cattle. It is administered as a subcutaneous ear implant (containing 3 mg norgestomet; to be removed after 9 to 10 days), in combination with a single intramuscular injection containing 3 mg norgestomet and 5 mg oestradiol valerate. The injection is to be given immediately after application of the implant. Norgestomet is not used in human medicine. It is a steroidal progestin of the 19-norprogesterone group.

Pentifylline is an active vasodilating substance which does not affect blood sugar levels. Pentifylline inhibits the soluble and the particulate cyclic AMP phosphodiesterases from bovine platelets and rat brain ATPase. The inhibition of ATPase by pentifylline was not influenced by the change in Na /K ratio. Pentifylline in combination with Nicotinic acid indicated for the treatment of Cerebral circulatory disorders and Circulatory disorders of the eye. Pentifylline is well tolerated but it is recommended that blood pressure be monitored and if there is a severe drop in blood pressure, a drip infusion of plasma expander be administered. Coagulation states should also be closely watched.

Elobixibat is the first in class ileal bile acid transporter (IBAT) inhibitor. IBAT inhibitors block ileal absorption of bile acids by: (1) interrupting the enterohepatic circulation of bile resulting in a fall in serum cholesterol and (2) increasing the delivery of bile acids into the colon. Elobixibat stimulates both motor and secretory functions in the colon. Elobixibat is approved in Japan for the treatment of chronic constipation. Elobixibat has potential benefit in the treatment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.

Acexamic acid (N-acetyl-amino-6-hexanoic acid) is a drug used as a cicatrization helper. Some studies show that the acexamic acid prevents the formation the connective inflamed tissue and enables its healing. The association from acexamic acid with zinc, zinc acexamate, has been used in the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcer and in the prevention of gastric ulcer induced by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Acedoben (4-acetamidobenzoic acid) is a benzoic acid derivative and a metabolite of benzocaine. It is a component of immunomodulatory drug inosine pranobex, which is used to treat mucocutaneous infections due to herpes simplex virus (type 1 and/or type II), genital warts as adjunctive therapy to podophyllin or carbon dioxide laser, and subacute sclerosing panencephalitis.

Carmofur, also known as 5-fluoro-N-hexyl-2,4-dioxo-pyrimidine-1-carboxamide and as 1-hexylcarbamoyl-5-fluorouracil, is a pyrimidine analogue which acts as an antineoplastic agent through inhibition of thymidylate synthase. It has been used in the treatment of breast and colorectal cancer. Carmofur is approved in Japan for the treatment of cancer.

Bamipine (trade name Soventol) is a sedating antihistamine with pronounced sedative effects. Bamipine is a pharmaceutical drug acting as an H1 antihistamine with anticholinergic properties. It is used as an antipruritic ointment. Bamipine hydrochloride has been given by mouth. Bamipine, bamipine lactate, and bamipine salicylate have all been applied topically.
